The switch from polymeres to biodegradeable materials.

The original laptop sleeve was manufactured from a mix of polymeres and metals. This was just not good enough.

The materials were switched to hemp textile and hemp lining, the zipper was replaced by beech wood buttons. The laptop sleeve can now be renewed completely.

The original was a black, generic and non-personal laptop sleeve.

By adding the patches and keeping the natural color of hemp the sleeve now has a distinct design.

The patches will hopefully help the user form a personal bond with the laptop sleeve, and will therefore not be as willing to get a new one as fast.

By changing the original materials to clean and biodegradeable materials the laptop sleeve can be recycled by composting or by making renewable energy from it.

The laptop sleeve is sewn together, anyone with a sewing machine or near a professional sewer can repair this sleeve. The change from zipper to buttons also make the repair process easier. The patches work as an extra padding and protection for the sleeve, their second purpose is to encourage patching by the user if a hole or other damage arises.
